Instructions for Use: Prepare a solution of material to be tested (about 2%) in distilled water. Add 2 ml of this solution to a test tube. Dropwise, add 1 ml of biuret reagent to the sample. Color change from blue to purple indicates the presence of protein. It is advisable to do side-by-side tests with distilled water and a 1% known solution of albumin for comparison.
